An intrepid group of 14 plotholders tackled the overgrowth at the Warnham Road end of the site at our working party on January 13th. The car park area is now much tidier, with brambles and moss cut well back and many of the trees overhanging the site and weighing down the boundary fence have been cut and pruned.
Volunteers were rewarded with hot homemade soup, fresh muffins, both sweet and savoury, bread, tea and coffee. Giancarlo Zuccotto’s name was drawn at random from a list of those present to receive a £10 voucher for the Trading Hut.
Keep an eye out here and on the site noticeboards for details of the next working party – do try to attend if you can.
