Another successful working party

An intrepid group of 14 plotholders tackled the overgrowth at the Warnham Road end of the site at our working party on January 13th. The car park area is now much tidier, with brambles and moss cut well back and many of the trees overhanging the site and weighing down the boundary fence have been cut and pruned.

Volunteers were rewarded with hot homemade soup, fresh muffins, both sweet and savoury, bread, tea and coffee. Giancarlo Zuccotto’s name was drawn at random from a list of those present to receive a £10 voucher for the Trading Hut.

Keep an eye out here and on the site noticeboards for details of the next working party – do try to attend if you can.

Thanks to our Working Party volunteers

Thank you to our Working Party volunteers in November, who helped to clear the communal areas on the site. Many thanks also to Maria and Morag who provided the refreshments.

Congratulations are also due to Ahmed Bouariche, Plot 12, whose name was drawn from the hat and who wins a £10 Trading Hut voucher.

The next Working Party is on Sunday January 13th, at 10.00am and we need your help again. The work should only take a couple of hours – the more people take part, the quicker the jobs will be completed.

See the members’ area for details of how to sign up, or contact one of the committee to volunteer to help on January 13th.
