Woodhouse Allotments has allocated specific dates over winter 2026 and early spring 2027, when bonfires may be held on our site.
They follow the pattern of the first Saturday and the last Sunday of each month from October until the end of March, but avoiding Christmas and New Year.
The days are as follows:
- Saturday 3 October 2026
- Sunday 25 October 2026
- Saturday 7 November 2026
- Sunday 29 November 2026
- Saturday 5 December 2026
- Sunday 27 December 2026
- Saturday 2 January 2027
- Sunday 31 January 2027
- Saturday 6 February 2027
- Sunday 28 February 2027
- Saturday 6 March 2027
- Sunday 28 March 2027
Our allotment site rules, set by Barnet Council, state that bonfires are permitted between October and the end of March each year. Our members have voted to restrict bonfire lighting to specific dates out of consideration for our neighbours, which include a primary school.
